Floating deck assembly

A floating dry dock assembly 102 is provided, the assembly comprising a deck assembly 2 having an upper deck surface, a plurality of buoyant vessels 108 connected to the deck assembly and able to support the deck assembly, each buoyant vessel being moveable vertically with respect to the deck assembly. A method of raising a vessel 200 from water using the floating dry dock assembly is also disclosed. The method comprises sinking the deck assembly below the vessel to be raised, supporting the deck assembly using the buoyant vessels at the surface of the water, manoeuvring the deck assembly below the vessel to be raised and raising the deck assembly and the vessel to be raised.
