摘要:
The present invention provides a positive electrode active
material for a lithium ion secondary battery having high breaking strength of
secondary particles constituting powder and excellent coating properties, a
method for producing a positive electrode active material for a lithium ion
secondary battery, and a lithium ion secondary battery. A positive electrode
active material for lithium ion secondary batteries includes primary particles
of a lithium composite compound represented by the following formula (1) and
secondary particles in which the primary particles are aggregated. a ratio of an
average particle diameter of the primary particles to an average particle
diameter of the secondary particles is 0.006 or more and 0.25 or less, an amount
of lithium carbonate is 0.4% by mass or less, and a breaking strength of the
secondary particles is 30 MPa or more. (In the formula (1), M1 is at least one
element selected from the group consisting of Mn and Al, m2 is at least one
element selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ti, Zr, Mo and Nb, and -0.1 ≦
a ≦ 0.2, 0.7 ≦ x < 1.0, 0 ≦ y < 0.3, 0 ≦ z ≦ 0.25, 0 < 1-x-y-z <
0.3, and -0.2 ≦ α ≦ 0.2.)
