Systems and methods are provided for improving latency for
display of ink during user generation of ink content using a stylus, mouse,
finger (or other touch input), or other drawing device to track a desired
location for the ink content in the display area. To reduce and minimize time
for display of ink content generated by a user using stylus/mouse/touch
input/other devices, separate ink rendering process threads may be used that
operate on an operating system and operate concurrently with other application
threads. When desired to create ink content within an application, user
interaction corresponding to creation of ink content can be handled by a
separate ink rendering process thread. This can prevent potential delay of the
ink display due to the application handling other events in the process flow.
