摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode material that includes a negative electrode active material containing a metal oxide and that can improve initial coulomb efficiency of a secondary battery. SOLUTION: A negative electrode material includes: a negative electrode active material containing a metal oxide; and a coat provided on a surface of the negative electrode active material. The coat contains Li, P, and O. The P2p spectrum of the coat which is measured by XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) has a peak at a position within a range of 130.7 to 136.9 eV.
