摘要：Abstract Title: Convertible chair adapted for conversion between sitting and kneeling configurationsA chair 100 adapted for conversion between a sitting configuration and a kneeling configuration. The chair comprises a base support 102; and a knee-back rest 104 movably coupled to the support by a pivot arm 108, the arm arranged to pivot relative to the support between a first position in which the rest is positioned for use as a back rest and a second position in which the rest is positioned for use as a knee rest. A seat 106 is movably coupled to the support by coupling mechanism 110 and is arranged to move relative to the support between a first seat position corresponding to the sitting configuration and a second seat position corresponding to the kneeling configuration. The mechanism comprises a releasable catch 111 arranged to couple the arm and the seat when in the first seat and pivot arm positions, thereby restricting pivotal movement of the arm relative to the support. The catch is arranged to release by pivotal movement of the seat away from the first seat position. The catch may comprise a hooked member 120a arranged to releasably engage with a pin 120b, said components each provided on one of the seat and the arm.
